Luka Doncic delivered another stellar performance, notching a triple-double with 27 points, 14 assists, and 12 rebounds. However, his remarkable streak of consecutive 30-point triple-doubles came to an end at six games as he fell just short of reaching the 30-point mark. Despite this, Doncic played a pivotal role in the Dallas Mavericks’ dominant 127-92 victory over the Chicago Bulls on Monday night.

Mavs’ head coach Jason Kidd emphasized Doncic’s focus on winning rather than individual statistics, highlighting his exceptional level of play compared to his peers.

In the game, Doncic set the tone early as Dallas outscored Chicago by 28 points in the first quarter, ultimately holding the Bulls to a season-low point total. Doncic narrowly missed a triple-double in the first half, demonstrating his all-around contribution to the team’s success.

Additionally, Doncic achieved several milestones during the game, including surpassing Jason Terry for the second-most 3-pointers made in Mavericks history and overtaking Shawn Bradley for the fourth-most rebounds in team history.

Since the All-Star break, Doncic has been on an impressive run, averaging 36.4 points, 10.1 rebounds, and 11.4 assists per game, further solidifying his status as one of the league’s top performers.

Former Bulls center Daniel Gafford also had a noteworthy performance for Dallas, making all nine of his field goal attempts and extending his streak of consecutive made shots to 28, just seven shy of the NBA record set by Wilt Chamberlain in 1967.

Gafford attributed his success to consistency and a determined mindset, showcasing his ability to finish plays effectively for the Mavericks.
